April 30 - SOMETHING SILLY
Me: Can I take a silly photo of you Honey?
Honey: Yes
The result is the above photo. Oh to be young and have elastic face skin. She inherited it from her father.

April 29 - CONTRAST
Contrast between healthy fruit and junk ice cream?
Contrast between plastic container and metal spoon?
Contrast between red and white?
Take your pick.

April 28 - CHAOTIC
My house is chaos. Honey and Buddy have made it this way. That is all.

April 27 - UNDER MY FEET
Under my feet is the coffee table after derby training. I did take a photo of my skates, but then my boobs got in the way so this is what I decided to go with.

April 26 - ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS
Today I woke up to find Honey fiddling with my lamp and it struck me that she is getting more and more independent and less my baby girl.
I have to remember to enjoy her and Buddy while they are little because its not going to last forever.

April 25 - REMEMBER
Today is Anzac Day, which marks the anniversary of the ANZACs landing at Gallipoli. Honey and I attended the Dawn Service - her first one since she was 5 months old.

April 24 - A POP OF COLOUR
I've fallen victim to the loom band trap. I hummed and haa-ed about whether I'd get a loom, and then decided I would. The above bracelet is a fishtail and the bottom one is a basic basic loom band thing. I made The Man help me by sorting out all the colours. He doesn't seem to enjoy loom bands as much as I do?

April 23 - ENTRANCE
Got a park right near the entrance of the Bendigo Marketplace. Winning!
Buddy is hiding his excitement well.

April 22 - FOUR THINGS
Went out for dinner tonight and these four things were given to Honey to draw with while she waited for her dinner to come. I didn't even break the crayon to make the 4. Lucky!

April 21 - CLOSE
My driveway is a hive of ant activity. They are swarming everywhere. I stood near them, and they crawled up my legs and bit me! Little buggers.
This picture hasn't really come up well, as my camera didn't like doing ultra close ups.

April 20 - EGG
This is the only speckled egg left over from the Easter Bunny, and even then I had to rescue it from the clutches of The Man.

3800?!?!?!

Ninja Midgets has been viewed 3800 times!
That's freaking amazing.
Someone has looked at the jib jab that comes from my brain on 3800 occasions.
I'm assuming that means 3800 different people have visited, but imagine if there has been repeat visitors.

 April 17 - SOMETHING I LEARNED
Today I learned that it takes a lot of people to look after a little boy who is overtired and held up on a delayed V/Line train. The train must have been running an hour late and Buddy was not having it. We walked up and down the train carriage so many time that I lost count. It's lucky he is a bit cute and he really didn't launch into a real protest about not being allowed off the train (although he tried and tried to escape)

April 16 - MY VICE
It sounds terrible, but my vice is putting my hand up to do stuff. I just usually don't have any time, and I get frustrated and I yell at The Man and I result in staying up well past my bedtime sorting things out. Ridiculous.
PS. How small do my hands look in proportion to my wrists. Ugh.

April 15 - I'M READING THIS
Nothing. I was bad and didn't return my library books and I'm not allowed to borrow until I pay my fines.

April 14 - DIRTY
Buddy and his cohorts (Harry and Gus) just need to look at me and I end up filthy.
These are the pants which I had just put on.

April 13 - MORE PLEASE!
My new love is hot jam donuts. Yes they completely go against my healthy eating pledge from the beginning of the year.
I just found an empty box of them in the freezer.
More please!

April 12 - ON MY LEFT
I took this at H&M at Melbourne's GPO. I'd spent all day at work and my cold was getting worse and worse. I'd lined up to get into the shop and got lost before finding the kids clothes and bought Honey a parka and was trying to get out of the shop without losing the plot.
Then I saw this bag (and it WAS on my left where I was standing texting The Man, telling him what a bad idea it was to shop after work) and I laughed, took a photo and continued trying to escape the shops.

April 11 - 3 OF A KIND
That's nearly 40kg of Buddy right there. I am hoping this is the closest I ever come to triplet toddlers. Especially triplet toddler Buddies. He has just figured out how to walk, and when he finally twigs that he can do it whenever he wants and not just when he is holding my hand, I am very very deep trouble.

April 10 - MY FAVE PART OF THE DAY
This was my favourite part of today, when I got off the train at Bendigo after two days of work.
I couldn't decide whether I liked this photo in colour or black and white, so I've posted up both.
What do you think?

April 9 - DARK
It's very dark at my work when all the lights have been switched off.

Fell off the wagon

Oh dear, did I fall off the wagon, or did I FALL OFF THE WAGON?
I can't even pretend I took pics and forgot to whack them up on this blog.
Of the seven days I missed, I took four for the FMS challenge - and now for my excuse: I worked three days in Melbourne (which adds up to 42 hours of travel and work and travel) and I have a cold and Honey is sick with a 'sore mouth' (read: hacking cough) and Buddy had needles (which he didn't care about, but is useful as an excuse).
But today after we see the doctor I'll post up my photos and I won't even play my usual trick of changing the dates of each post - not that I'd intentionally mislead you blog readers ever.

April 7 - WHERE I'D RATHER BE
One day when I am far wealthier than I am now, I would like to visit places like these. I suppose I could even take Honey, Buddy and The Man along with me. Maybe.

April 6 - A TASTE OF AUTUMN
Today was the first time I've had soup. This is all that was left afterwards - just a taste of tomato soup.

April 5 - NOT MINE
Honey would not share this ice cream with me. Probably it is because it is the first time she has ever had ice cream (rainbow gelati) from an icecream van.

Photo bomb - April 4 2014

Today is my cousin's birthday.
Happy birthday CN!
April 4 - GOOD TOGETHER
Tonight we had a pick pick (Honey-ese for picnic) tea in the loungeroom. Fish and chips go really well together, and clean up was easy peasy because I released the pups and they ate all the dregs.

Flipped - BAD TOGETHER
Since The Man and I got together, AFL has been a bone of contention. I support the Blues, The Man barracks for the Hawks, but comes from one-eyed Magpie supporters.
When Honey was baking, I was so sure that she'd be a boy that I told The Man that If she was a girl, she could barrack for the Hawks.
Hmmm.
When Buddy was on the way, I was smarter. I said that he could barrack for the Hawks IF he decided to be born on Grand Final Day (a couple of weeks before his due date) AND if Hawthorn won the Grand Final (which I think they did?). I even said we could name Buddy after Buddy Franklin.
Lucky because now he's quit the Hawks and become a Swan.
Anyway, as a result, after giving the forces that be multiple opportunities, Buddy is a Blue Boy.

April 3 - SHAPES
The teddy bear and dinosaur pasta shapes are always the most popular in our house. I'd argue that the teddy bears are too cute to eat, but that means they get gobbled down all the faster. Poor teddies.

Flipped - LINE
Please excuse my crookedy photo. I was juggling the camera while holding the ruler against the wall.

April 2 - IN MY HAND
I made Scottish tablet last week (recipe can be found here). I found some leftover in the kitchen and gobbled it down.
Flipped - OFF MY FOOT
Yes, I have weird looking toes.
I cleaned some green polish off of my toes. Really the flipped prompt should literally be 'OUT YOUR FOOT', but that sounds a bit gory.
